How much does it cost to hire a marquee?

Prices will vary according to size and the type of marquee you require. We can cater for everything from fairly basic requirements up to top of the range elegance. We offer a no obligation quite to anyone who makes an enquiry.

What size of marquee do I need?

This depends on the number of guests that you wish to invite and whether you are holding a formal or informal event. The following facts will be taken into consideration when determining the size that will be most suitable for your event:

Are you guests having a buffet/barbeque or a full sit down meal?
Will you be dancing and therefore need a dance floor?
Do you require a stage for a band or just space for a DJ?

Will my garden or land be big enough?

Lockhart Leisure are happy to come along and provide you with a no obligation site visit to measure up and advise you if it is possible. We need to know before we take any bookings or money from you that the proposed site is suitable to hold a marquee, that the land is reasonably level and that you have adequate access for delivery vehicles.

When will the marquee be erected?

For weddings, corporate functions and private hires, your marquee will normally be erected two days prior to your event. This gives you time to set up your tables and decorate the marquee to your own personal taste.

How long will it take to erect the marquee?

This depends on the size of your marquee. Most will be erected in one day, but larger structures may take longer. We generally dismantle the day after your event and this will take less that one day.

How long will the marquee be up for?

Weekend hire events - the marquee is normally yours for Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. Mid-week and long term events, the length of hire is made by prior arrangement

Will the marquee be warm enough?

Event in the middle of winter, your guests can be warm as toast, as we can provide you with thermostatically controlled heating systems that keep the marquee regulated at a desired temperature.

Will we need a generator?

Lighting and any bar functions supplied by Lockhart Leisure require nothing more than a regular 240v power source. Caterers or bands may need an additional source of power to operate their equipment and Lockhart Leisure can supply a variety of generators.

Do I need insurance?

The hirer is responsible for all equipment during the hire period, therefore, for your own peace of mind, it is recommended that you arrange additional insurance to cover this. Best rates are normally achieved with your existing insurer.
